Clary Sage

Clary Sage has been shown in numerous studies to improve estrogen levels. If you are struggling with too low of estrogen or too high of estrogen, Clary Sage has been shown to help the body restore to a more optimized state.

Celery Seed + Thyme

Celery Seed and Thyme have been shown in multiple studies to improve progesterone levels. I have been absolutely floored time and time again to see how this has changed so many women's’ lives in my Functional Medicine clinic.

Why Clary Sage, Thyme, + Celery Seed essential oils work to balance female hormones naturally.

The best part about using essential oils as a natural remedy in your home is that they have an adaptogenic capacity. This means that whether your body is experiencing an imbalance in excess or an imbalance in deficiency, the essential oils will work with your body to help your body restore to homeostasis or balance. They help your body adapt whether you are experiencing an excess or a deficiency.

We love to mix up a quick + easy tonic to make supporting hormones effortless. This tonic is gentle on the body and really gives the body an opportunity to rally on its own to reach optimal estrogen and progesterone levels all on its own.

Hormone Balancing Tonic

  1. Gather a small dropper bottle, Clary Sage essential oil, Celery Seed essential oil, and Thyme essential oil.
  2. Put equal parts of the Clary Sage, Thyme, and Celery Seed essential oils into the dropper bottle.
  3. Shake the bottle.
  4. Add 4-8 drops in a veggie capsule.
  5. Take the veggie cap 1-2 times each day.

If you are using doTERRA essential oils, all three of these oils are safe for internal use.

If you prefer to use this Hormone Balancing Tonic topically, you can add a few drops to pulse points (on the insides of wrists, insides of ankles, or insides of elbows) or on the lower abdomen.

In all honesty here, these essential oils do not smell amazing, they each have an earthy, medicinal scent. We have received so much feedback from patients in The Wellness Abode clinic, as well as DMs on Instagram from people that have tried this tonic after seeing us post the recipe, that the internal use of these oils has been a great help in helping many women achieve optimal hormone balance.
