Three Oils for Healthy Testosterone

I know I know, we hardly ever talk about male hormones. My husband brought it up to me over the summer time and I kept saying: Yeah, I’ll definitely do a class on that.

Except … I never did. And here we are in December, still nothing from me.

Luckily, Evan isn’t one to wait around. After he started getting messages on Instagram from men inquiring about natural support for testosterone, he embarked on his own research.

He found some pretty amazing research pieces on pubmed.gov supporting essential oils for the use of healthy testosterone and healthy sperm.

Why are men suffering from low testosterone?

This is not an uncommon challenge for men nowadays. This has a lot to do with the amount of estrogen-like toxins men are exposed to in their day-to-day life:

-Colognes

-Body care products laden with synthetic fragrences

-Pesticides and herbacides

-Estrogen injected animal protein (like cows)

Excess stress and weight gain will also contribute to low testosterone.

When testosterone lowers and estrogen elevates in men, the balance between estrogen and testosterone becomes skewed, resulting in symptoms of low testosterone:

-erectile dysfunction

-breast tissue development

-infertility

-weight gain

What can be done?

  1. Support healthy elimination of estrogen like toxins from the body

Add citrus essential oils to the water. Evan really enjoys Grapefruit or Tangerine oils in his water. Grapefruit is the preferred citrus around our home because we learned that it can also help to stimulate fat burning!

  2. Support Testosterone production

Ginger + Cinnamon essential oils were shown in multiple studies to naturally increase testosterone. It’s best to ingest the two together for results rather then simply diffusing the oils because more of the chemical constituents will make their way into the blood stream that way.

You can do 2 drops each in a veggie cap twice daily.

Evan and I love the taste of these two oils because they are warm and comforting. We also put 2 drops each in our morning coffee recipe! We call it the Gingerbread Latte Recipe.

  3. BONUS: Ylang Ylang to support healthy libido and healthy connection.

Healthy “T” Recipe

In a veggie cap add:

2 drop Cinnamon

2 drops Ginger

2 drops Ylang Ylang (an optional add for libido boosting)

Brew your organic coffee (choose organic so that you don’t drink coffee beans that have been sprayed with estrogenic pesticides).

In a blender combine:

-Brewed coffee

-1 tbsp coconut oil or coconut butter or both

-2 drops Ginger essential oil

-2 drops Cinnamon essential oil

Blend ingredients together until mixture is frothy. Pour and enjoy!
